How to register DSC on DVAT & Digitally sign DVAT Return

SIMPLE WAY OF REGISTRATION OF DSC on DVAT

The filing of DVAT return for Quarter 1 of financial year 2016-17 is mandatory to be filed under Digital Signatures for the dealers having turnover of Rs.1 crore or more.
‘How to register DSC on DVAT’ is explained hereunder:

Pre-requisites
1.Digital Signature Certificate
2.Internet Connection
STEPS TO REGISTER DIGITAL SIGNATURE ON DELHI VAT WEBSITE (www.dvat.gov.in)

Installation of DSC on Computer System
1. Go to www.dvat.gov.in homepage
2. Click on the Downloads option on the left panel
3. Download and install POS Sync Software.
4. Attach DSC to the Computer.
5. Open the Internet Explorer.
6. Go to the Tools bar > Internet Options>Content>Certificates>Export.
7. Welcome Page window will pop up.
8. Click on Next>Next>Next.
9. Now give the Appropriate File Name.
10.Now again click on Next and then Finish.
11.Double click on the saved file. One window will pop up.
12.Click on Install Certificates and then click Next>Next>Finish.

Registration of DSC on DVAT Portal

13.Login the dealer account on DVAT website.
14.Click on More option on the top right side then click on Register DSC.
15.Now click on Select Certificate option and select appropriate DSC and enter the PIN.
16.Successful Registration message will pop up.

How to Digtally sign DVAT Return

17. After approving Return Forms check history of returns filed & note down the return Id to be signed
18. Go to Return > Click -Sign Form DVAT 56 digitally
19. Select > Form 56 or Form 49 > Form 56 PDF - Write Return ID to be digitally signed
20. Select Serial Number of Return ID and click on Sign > Enter Private Key and Pop massage of successfully signed will be communicated 

Caution- Use only Internet Explorer

  2. There are some pre-requisition for getting registered into DSC on DVAT. Many people do not know how to install the DSC on DVAT and how to get involved with the learning procedures about the https://www.facebook.com/Essay-Republic-170088340038536/ for improving the quality of the students.I will try by your mentioned procedure for installation and getting registered into DSC on DVAT.

  3. I have downloaded the software and successfully registered my TIN number but when I click "Select Certificate" nothing happens and a pop up comes to install an add-on but it fails to run. What should I do?

  4. Please open Internet explorer. Then internet options in tools and after that go to content and in content there is option certificates. Attach DSC to PC and first import certificate and then export certificate to desktop. After that it will select the certificate.

    I have already gone thru this process but at the end whenever i clicks on select DSC its showing "SV0 Digital Signature chain not found".

    What should I do??

  6. DSC already registed but i have tried the Return through Digital but errors showing "System.Exception" was thrown. at nsigncomp.signingfrom.signfile(Arraylistfpath,string serial).

    2. Open the Internet Explorer & Clear all cookies
      Go to www.dvat.gov.in homepage & Click on the Downloads option on the left panel & Download and install POS Sync Software and save on the Desktop.
      Go to the Tools bar > Internet Options>Content>Certificates>Export.
      Window will pop up & Click on Next>Next>Next.
      Now give the Appropriate Name to save the file on desktop whose signatures are to be used and save the certificate on desktop.
      Now again click on Next and then Finishfor installation of certificate.
      Double click on the saved file. One window will pop up.Click on Install Certificates and then click Next>Next>Finish. Now open DVAt site and click on register it will show the name/ PAN of the authorised person whose signatures are to be applied. Minimise the window and another small window to confirm and select certificate will open. Select and confirm. Open DVAT window to see the verification message.

  8. I am getting an error "SV00 PKI Component expired. Please contact the vendor" now. I have already downloaded the latest PKI Component from DVAT website. What should I do?

    1. Please export the signatures through DSC token by using internet explorer on your desktop and keep the downloaded POS setup file from DVAT site o your desktop without running. Then put signatures after login on DVAT. Please do not forget to remove cookies and use internet explorer only.

    1. The DVAT website is not working properly so you have to physically deposit the documents at the Sales Tax office.
