CBDT Extends Tax Audit & ITR Deadlines for AY 2026-27
In a press release dated 28 September 2026, the CBDT extended two due dates for taxpayers covered under S. No. 2 of the Table below Explanation 2 to Section 139(1). These are companies, taxpayers whose accounts must be audited, and partners of such firms.
📌 Tax Audit Report: extended from 30 Sept 2026 → 21 Oct 2026
📌 Income Tax Return: extended from 31 Oct 2026 → 21 Nov 2026
A formal notification will follow separately. Transfer pricing cases are not covered by this extension.
