CBEC extends that date of registration and payment of excise for Jewellers till 31st July 2016

CBEC has extended for jewelers the time limit for taking central excise registration of an establishment to 31^st July,2016.

The liability for payment of central excise will be from 1^st March, 2016. CBEC has proposed that the assessee jewelers may make the payment of excise duty for the period from  March 2016 to June 2016 on or before 31^st July,2016.
